The rental is right by the hotel on the shore of Palcmanská Maša at the jetty, with another below Koliba Zuzana. A pedalo takes you as far as Stratenská píla — around 45 minutes from Dedinky.

The Stratená canyon
Near the village of Stratená the Hnilec stream has carved a canyon some 2 km long. An easy path on a made-up road with eight interpretive panels and minimal climb, part of a marked hiking and cycling trail.

The Zejmarská gorge
The wild, broken and enchanting relief of this gorge was cut by the stream running off the Geravy plateau — and with it the Nálepka waterfalls. The passage is easy, secured with ladders and chains in places. A one-way blue trail; the circuit from Dedinky is almost 10 km and takes 3 hours.

Sights UNESCO
Dobšinská Ice Cave
One of Slovakia’s greatest natural treasures and, thanks to its depth and length, one of the largest ice caves in the world. The temperature stays below freezing all year round, which created the ice decoration along a tour route of more than half a kilometre. A UNESCO World Heritage site.

By train into Paradise — the Telgárt loop
The Dedinky – Červená Skala line: nine tunnels, three viaducts and over 280 bridge structures. The technically remarkable Telgárt loop runs 2.3 km with a spiral tunnel and a 22 m viaduct, climbing 31 metres. Nearby stands the Chmarošský viaduct — an 18 m brick bridge with nine arches, considered one of the finest engineering structures in Slovakia.

The Horehron Express
Throughout the summer, nostalgic Saturday rides on historic trains built as far back as 1934. The route runs Dedinky – Červená skala and back, across the Telgárt and Chmarošský viaducts, through the Kornel Stodola tunnel and around the Telgárt loop.
